Frequently Asked Questions about Dstny Copilot

Dstny Copilot is integrated with our call recording service, as well as Google Meet & your Microsoft tenant to access your meetings. We help you get started easily and should already have the service up and running at a fundamental level on the same day we begin the installation. Then, we’ll find time to go through how to set up playbooks, summaries, and data collection in the best way for your organization.

 

With Dstny Copilot, you can connect your Google, Zoom, and Microsoft accounts for digital meetings, as well as with Dstny PBX to integrate recorded calls.

You can also sync data to HubSpot, Salesforce, Upsales, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Pipedrive, and Zoho.

Dstny Copilot connects to your meeting as a user. In meetings where you don’t want the assistant to join, you can deny its connection, or you can remove it during a specific part of the meeting if you don’t want it to record the entire meeting.

For phone calls, all calls you choose to record in the Dstny PBX will be imported to Dstny Copilot. In order for Dstny Copilot to associate the call with a user, a Copilot license is required for users who have call recording enabled.

Recording: If the person recording or transcribing the call is participating in the conversation (e.g., a salesperson or support agent), it is legal under Swedish criminal law to record and transcribe without informing the caller. This is not considered unlawful interception as long as one of the parties is aware and participating.

GDPR and data protection: This is where it becomes more complex. Even if the recording itself is legally permitted without the caller’s knowledge, the GDPR requires that individuals whose personal data is being processed (i.e., the caller) are informed that their data is being recorded and processed (including transcription, which is considered personal data processing).

In practice, this means that you should always inform callers that the conversation is being recorded and transcribed — for example, via an initial tone or voice message (“This call is being recorded and may be transcribed for the purpose of improving our service”).
